Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Pet Visit Prep handles the information you choose to provide.
1. Information stored on your device
Pet profiles, health background, observations, photos, and visit briefs are stored on your device by default. You can delete all local data from About & Privacy in the app.
2. Optional cloud processing
Only when you consent and choose an organization feature, the information needed for that request is sent over an encrypted connection to our services in mainland China. This may include:
- Notes, pet profile details, and health background used to organize a record or prepare a visit brief;
- Photos you select or take, used to identify visible details relevant to your record;
- Audio you choose to record, used to convert speech into text; and
- A vendor device identifier and network address, used for authentication, rate limiting, security, and abuse prevention.
We do not use this information for advertising, marketing, or tracking across apps.
3. Service providers and processing location
Cloud organization uses Alibaba Cloud infrastructure and Alibaba Cloud Model Studio services in mainland China. Submitted information is processed only to organize text, extract relevant visible information from photos, or transcribe audio. Our application service does not intentionally write request text, photos, recordings, or generated results to its business database.
4. Permissions
Camera, photo library, and microphone permissions are requested only when you use the related feature. You can deny or revoke them in iOS Settings and continue using features that do not require those permissions.
5. Device identifier and usage limits
To limit abuse, the service stores a SHA-256 hash of the vendor device identifier, daily and monthly period labels, usage counters, and the time of the latest update. Pet profiles and records are not attached to this identifier, and the app does not have an account system.
6. Sharing and sale
We do not sell your personal information or publicly disclose your pet records, photos, recordings, or organization results. Information is shared only with service providers needed to complete the cloud processing described above.
7. Your choices
Cloud organization is optional. You can turn it off and continue using local profiles and manual records. You can also clear all local app data at any time. Because the app has no account system, it does not create a server-side pet profile for you.
8. Product boundary
Organization results are for record keeping and communication with a veterinarian. They are not a diagnosis, severity assessment, prescription, medication recommendation, or substitute for veterinary care.
